I'm proud to announce that the Lords of Chaos are fast approaching Battle.net's member cap of 100. In order to handle the approaching member cap, we must make a decision as to the direction of our clan. Should we use more selective recruitment and stricter requirements for continued membership in order to keep our membership at or below the member cap, or should we create an offshoot clan to handle the overflow?
Keep in mind that the exact details will be worked out after one of these choices has been made, and those details will be open to suggestions from all clan members.
Vote!

I also picked offshoot clan because its still somewhat early in the season to have requirements
I think it would be a good idea that the offshoot clans would be sort of a ranking system. The better % and level players would be in the original LOC, and the rest would be in what could be called a "training" clan, where the players who are not up to the standards of our shaman and chieftain play to get better, and when there is room for them, they may move up once they have proven their value.
by the way sorry I missed the 10-30 meeting but I have been busy with Algebra, once winter comes I will be much more active.

I think we should hit the cap first then organize our members kick inactives and such. Then if its needed make a secondary clan

I think it should be along the lines of both. I think we should gather all the heavily expirenced players into clan loc and enforce the other people to become more active until put into the other loc, not as a punishment but as for arrangement. If not that then inactive players removed. Then we make clan loc requirements more scrict and anybody who nears the requirements or dont meet the requirements can be put in our expand. The expanded clan loc will soon grow expirence from time and become also a great clan like the original one. Of course this will take some time, I suggest (FIRST) making requirements scricter and then once loc is filled we make a second one. Another example would be to make requirements stricter then making the second clan loc in which all new recruits will be placed and the second loc shall have similar requirements thus making two equally strong clan locs. I vote for offshoot clan though, becuase im impationt for the extreme growth of the clan

I would suggest to divide the clan (if it indeed becomes necessary) not according to skill or prestige, but along personal interest.
When I went on my infamous recruiting spree, I had but one, single-minded vision: To get lots of people who would solo for clan LOC, and us breaking into top 100 solo on the ladder. Not only did I recruit a lot, but I also kept bitching around to this end. We did make it up to rank 105, and now we are rank 111, still close to my dream...
Since I realized people are different and being in a clan doesnt mean the same thing for every person. Let it be: Let us make an off-shoot clan for people whose interest in wc3 does not involve experience-point-hording for a clan, a dedicated DOTA - custom - RT sub-clan. And thereby let us purify clan LOC for hard-core ladder players, who single-mindedly work towards better clan-rankings. People who are interested in both, can be members in both, although, strictly speaking, there is no formal reason to be a member in a custom-clan, is there? You can always just visit the "LOC-DOTA" clan channel for a game, and who cares if you are a member or not?
I realize my take is rather extreme, so dont take me dead-serious. Just a bit of food for thought...

well i think the clan is very good where it is. lots of members do ladder and custom when they want to have fun. but since you guys have goals and dreams for the clan then i suggest you strickly enforce more ladder. ofcourse i would have an icon about now but i got no internet so good luck people
