Hi guys
I would like to offer the shaman position I so unexpectedly gained to encourage activity and solo clan laddering for LOC, or earn it in fair competition. At the end of the sixth week after the ladder reset, I shall resign my shaman position, and make a recommendation for the new shaman based on solo ladder activity. It is up to the chieftain to decide on the person, but my recommendation shall go for the grunt(s) with best solo ladder performance at the deadline. In case no grunt beats ME in solo ladder performance at the deadline however, I shall retain my shaman status and make no recommendation for a new shaman. If you have been a peon in clan LOC for more than a week, and want to run for this shaman position, let me know: I shall make you a grunt no matter what. After the deadline, it is up to the chieftain to re-enforce standard clan rules for grunt positions. With the ladder reset, everybody has a clean sheet: Let the one with the skill and enthusiasm step forward to grab the position he desires and deserves.

Hi guys,
I am delighted to see the increased solo ladder activity in our clan, and would like to think it is partly because of the challenge I posed. We are massively in the 140-160 rank range, and a new generation of active solo players are becoming grunts too! Maybe we can break into the top 100 at some point?
Just to clarify what I meant by solo ladder performance when I posed my challenge. The community, and most importantly the chief, may evaluate it differently of course.
As my aim was to increase the standing of the clan, what I meant is the experience earned _for the clan_, as shown on the Solo Clan Leader Board.
Have fun, and compete with full strength!

Hi guys, As we are approaching the halftime of our solo clan ladder competition, it is time to inspect our Solo Clan Leader Board: www.battle.net/war3/ladder/w3xp-clan-reports-players-solo.aspx?Gateway=Azeroth&ClanTag=LOCWe have quite a few members listed on the board, thank you all for your efforts. As I write this note, we are ranked 141. This is better than I ever expected (before the reset we were in the 350 range), maybe we can climb even higher? What I notice on the board is that clan experience earned by the individual depends much more on activity than on percentage. So even if someone has a dismal percentage, the contribution can still be plenty. I also notice a snowball effect: The more someone plays, the higher ranked he is, the higher ranked his opponents are, the more experience he earns not only overall, but also on average. On the other hand, if a relatively high level player starts to compete on the clan ladder, he earns clan experience with great speed, and can quickly overtake players with more games, but lower level. Keep it up guys, I wonder where we are going with all this! Bihary

Hi guys,
The deadline of my self-proclaimed demotion is approaching. Next tuesday-wednesday (these are the days they update the clan ladder boards), we will see who are the players who could horde more clan solo experience than I will have done. I will support them for the shaman position I am going to give up.

See our clan solo ladder board: www.battle.net/war3/ladder/w3xp-clan-reports-players-solo.aspx?Gateway=Azeroth&ClanTag=LOCArrangements are in place, I step down from my shaman position today, and I would like to draw the chieftain's attention to the board above when he decides on the person for a new shaman. Thank you all for this six-week ride, and see you all on battle net. Bihary

I don't know if I'd recomend any of the people in the top bracket there. Mary is probably the only one I would consider.

I appreciate your opinion, indeed just before I was appointed as shaman, I voted for Maryland to get this position. I still think he is an excellent choice. However, I made a promise here, a challenge. That is why I step down, not because I consider myself an unable shaman. And my challenge was signed by our chief, as he said: "Ye verily, it shall be so". There are people out there who answered my call, picked up the gauntlet, and competed for the benefit of the clan (or are just hyper-active soloers without any ideology which is good enough in my book). If our clan values this as much as I do, I do not think we have a choice, as I do not have a choice either, stepping down. Bihary

I'd like to announce that Bihary's shaman position is being offered to Foooooog pending him meeting the 50% requirement. This shouldn't be particularely difficult given that he's only down a few games. Of course if he meets the requirement and wishes to accept the offer, he'll need to post a response here.

Inane, if you don't want to look for the good values in people before labeling them, then fine(this is the reason why most people besides myself and Blade talk behind your back). But don't attack them simply because you don't respect them. Just leave them be and don't waste your time on them.

erm... yeah... believe it or not, I just saw the forums today. Soarinpenguin emailed me about this thread. I would be a crappy shaman (imagine a gangster teaching a bunch of first graders math and you get the same amount of damage) I imagine. But anyway I haven't been playing WC for a while and probably will not be very active for a while, so no way I could get up to fifty percent soon.
