Ok, so I think we can all agree that bihary's mass recruiting seriously increase clan traffic and thats all well and good but as I think we've all seen there was a bit of downside to it. Namely the influx of tards and morons. So, I would suggest we purge people who a) Can not type in proper english b) Have stupid account names that reflect their tardness c) Have troubles with simple math d) Suck
I realize that while this would seriously cut down on the number of people in the clan we should still get rid of them as it will lead to a far more enjoyable playing experience.

There are currently around 70 members in the clan right now, most of which are rarely if ever around. The "bihary issue" took care of itself, and the clan is just as it was before he was here.

I feel compelled to reply to a thread with my name in the title. I wanted to say this before, didnot, but I might as well say it now.
I mass-recruited with a purpose, and I kept my guidelines. My purpose was to get the clan more active on ladder, especially on solo ladder. My guideline was 45% and inclination to play solo. I told EVERYONE I recruited that we are a laddering clan and everyone is supposed to play 2-3 ladder games per week for the clan.
So the new member arrives and what did he find? Two shamans (Zerg and me) who were always around, and kept talking about solo ladder. Pie, who at those times were mostly AFK, but when he talked, he had all kinds of explanations why soloing on the ladder sucks. The other shamans and the regulars... Well, we did not quite look like a laddering clan after all...
So the reaction? Most new players never started laddering, and when I (and Zerg) hinted about it, they laughed and pointed at the shamans. Some, quite a few, did ladder, and we did break into top 100, even though at that time Zerg already stopped playing solo.
And then things fell apart. Look at our solo ladder board. Half of the people who used to be the most active soloers, left and ARE STILL VERY ACTIVE soloers, in other clans. Why? Because they saw LOC is NOT a ladder clan.
Now dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that. I tried something that I thought was supported by LOC's elite, but it was in reality not. No problem, we all move on.

The major reason for us not playing/"supporting" Ladder, is that Warcraft III has gotten too old for us. You can still find enjoyment in it since, as you said, you're a late starter.
Not to sound drastic, but to make LoC a Ladder clan, we're going to need a new RTS. And no, I don't mean my maps - as I make them for something to play when there is nothing else, rather than something to replace Ladder, or... the sinister DotA for that matter. I believe we need a Starcraft II(since WoW seems impossible, considering Blade, Zulala, Thor, Haukereid, myself and my other RL friends who play WoW - all do so on different servers) or something before there is a reason for us to Ladder. "We all move on."
